When I got to the point in the internship when you start to figure out what group to contribute to I had a sense of excitement. Once I saw all of the options, I started to get nervous and thought “how am I going to pick just one?!”. This blog post is to help you feel a little more at ease when picking. 

Something that helped me choose was getting out of my tech head and looking at things in my everyday life that I enjoy. For me that is photography. I have been doing some level of amateur photography since high school. It has always provided a feeling of calm and sparks my adventurous side. 

If you are having trouble picking, try and hone in on things you truly enjoy. Do you like frontend or backend? Are you someone who has always wanted to try designing a theme or different parts of one? All these questions will help you find the right contribution. Plus you don’t have to choose just one. Pick a few and feel it out. 

I guess what I am saying is this does not need to feel stressful or difficult. Look at it as a new adventure into learning something new about yourself and about WordPress.
